For the first time in history, the number of hungry people in the world has passed the 1 billion mark. One in six people go to bed desperately hungry every night. And last year, an estimated 5 million young children died from complications from acute malnutrition (not enough food, basically starvation)

These figures point to an urgent crisis. But since hunger is not a result of global food shortages, there is hope. The knowledge and tools to end hunger are readily available. And everyone's help can make a difference!

As I've learned about the realities of global hunger, I've been inspired to take my own action -- so I joined Action Against Hunger as a citizen advocate to help end hunger. With your contributions towards my fundraising goal, I can help Action Against Hunger bring immediate relief and long-term solutions to starving children and families around the world. We are very happy to be doing this life changing event for people in Africa and hope they live a happier life. Also this website I had never heard of before so it is new to me and so I'm trying it, THIS website IS AWESOME. I love what they are doing and I think everyone should join this to help the world. One person at a time.   I have one more thing to say to people who think africa is fine without us read this article on the front page do you think it is alright well your not right because thousands of people die everyday and others die later on. So please help us make a difference in the world. Even if you only donate 1 dollar it can help them...........

UPDATE: I showed this at school for a project went awesome also I would like to say that the people who made up this charity and website deserves 10 billion dollars for doing this.... Also I want you all to know that even though I am 13 years old look at how big of a difference I made on The WORLD!!! BY raising 1,054 DOLLARS In like 2-3 months!!! No matter if your 4, 10, 50 or 72 years old you can change the lives of children in Africa!!!!
